Want to visit Ukraine? Important websites to know

Travel during the COVID-19 pandemic can be stressful. Borders closing, quarantine, testing, you name it.
Here are some important websites that can provide answers to the most important questions.

TravelDoc - quickly check documentation requirements

TravelDoc is a bespoke software system that verifies passengers' international travel documentation, including visa requirements.

TravelDoc quickly and efficiently checks documentation against travel restrictions imposed on the passenger by the authorities in the transit or destination country. An online Travel Document Rule Library (APP or Web) that displays each country's immigration, health and safety, and customs rules is also available.

Key functionalities include:

  • A clear Go/No Go indication along with clear instructions as to the documents needed
  • Real-time online updates of travel rules information
This system is used by many airline companies to check passenger's documents before boarding (e.g. KLM - https://klm.traveldoc.aero/)
To use it you need to enter where you are flying from and to, dates, and documents that you have. Example for US citizen visiting Ukraine:

VisitUkraine

The portal has the necessary and most up-to-date information on:

• Rules for crossing the Ukrainian border by foreign citizens;

• Rules of entry and transit of Ukrainians to countries around the world;

• Visa information;

• Rules for observation / self-isolation;

• Rules for staying in cities, hotels, public places, restaurants, etc.;

• Rules for the use of COVID-certificates in Diia;

• Contacts of embassies, consular services, and representatives of Ukraine in a foreign country.

A 24-hour English-speaking hotline – online chats and call center – is operating for tourists if they need clarification on the information provided or prompt assistance in resolving problems and misunderstandings related to crossing the Ukrainian border.
